Getting ready for first tournament For the past three weeks, I've been working hard on my game. I've been practicing and playing in Phoenix, Dallas,
and College Station. Thanks Andrew Parr for letting me stay with you in Scottsdale. I was able to play at TPC
Scottsdale while in Phoenix and let me tell you, that 16th hole is one of the coolest golf holes I've ever played. The
grandstands were up, and the hole was totally enclosed. It was like playing golf in a baseball stadium. I have
some new equipment from PING, and it has exceeded all my expectations in its performance and playability. Thanks to
Michael Spencer at PING for all the help. I feel very prepared for the upcoming season. I also spent a week in
Houston working with my swing coach Neil Wilkins. Neil is the teaching professional at Sienna Plantation in Missouri
City and has helped me better understand my golf swing and my tendencies. I started working with Neil at the end of
my sophomore year at Texas A&M, and it has been a outstanding relationship. Thanks to the Van Zandt family for letting
me stay with them during the week. This past weekend, I was able to serve at an FCA College Extreme Camp just
outside Huntsville, TX. It was a true blessing to see some old friends and make new ones while sharing the love of Christ.
I look forward to the next opportunity to serve again. My caddie, Russell Helson, and I leave this upcoming Sunday (Feb
1st) for Panama and my first Nationwide event. I'm excited and lucky to have this opportunity and platform not only
to compete, but also to share the love of Christ. Thanks to my sponsors for all your support. Martin "Therefore
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come."
